We’re nearing the end of the Sunderland Software Ventures course, which has given us an excellent overview of how to create and run a business and also the caveats of the software industry. We both benefitted from the seminars: Goals, Strategies, Finance, Management, Sales, Intellectual Property, Innovation, Development. Mind, some of the finance was over my head, and some of the codey stuff was over Paul’s but it’s very cool because we now have a good appreciation of each others areas. Which, suffice to say is excellent for our communication together!
So, in a few Days (Tuesday) we do a pitch to a panel of investors! I’m a bit nervous about the presenting bit, not because we’re unprepared (not at all) but rather because they recently told us there’d be a camera crew there! Great.
I’m sure it’ll be fine because we already know one of the panel members, Peter Hiscock who teaches many aspects of the course itself! Wish us luck.
