Words cannot describe what has happened here at 1DayLater yesterday. Here’s a clue..

Lifehacker - tips and tricks about getting things done, including productivity and useful software tools

But first,

This is what happened the day before

  • woke up
  • Had my cereal (Weetabix)
  • Made cuppa (Yorkshire tea)
  • Went to office
  • Discovered this nice little article on Webworkerweekly
  • Checked the site stats

I THOUGHT- “Oh 60 signups this morning - cool”

I SAID - “Here David, check this out man, 60 signups not bad. Nice article too, the editor really seems to have done her homework”

The next day

  • Woke up
  • Had some toast
  • Made a cuppa (No Yorkshire so chose second rate Typhoo)
  • Went to office
  • Read my emails
  • Checked the site stats

The day lifehacker noticed us - shown on google analytics

I THOUGHT “pnaaarrf?!”

I SAID “Davrnod….pnaaarf?!”

Turns out this is what happens when you get noticed by lifehacker. Lifehacker are one of the worlds most influential sites giving daily tips on how to ‘get things done’. They currently rank in the top 1000 sites worldwide, very cool indeed

And don’t be fooled, those other ‘little blips’ were actually also epic days including when we were featured on Techcrunch Europe. They’ve just been dwarfed by Lifehacker!

So a big welcome to all our new users. Please get in touch if you have any questions or just want to say hello :)

Take care,

Paul and David King

The Milo High Club

A little recap recent tech goings on involving a certain Milo Yiannopoulos:

So last Thursday Milo ventured North and an angry mob a bunch of lovely geeks and entrepreneurs met up with the fella to set things straight. I’m very happy to say that Milo is actually a cool guy, he “interviewed” a load of us to get our opinions about the local talent, funding, networking and how we felt about The Telegraph article itself.

The condensed video has been on the homepage of TechCrunch Europe for the entire weekend with the 1DayLater goons staring outward

yes, I mention high-tech geordie sperm

Why Mr Ambassador…

…you’re spoiling us!

We’ve decided, as enthusiastic lovers of all things North East, joining the largest network of ambassadors (One North East) would be a great idea. After meeting a very lovely and chatty Tori Clayton, we’re now proud to display the “passionate about the North East” brand!

In fact, you can see me on the list of amassadors, hoorah!

Bark like a dog! Stand on one leg!

Heehee, exiting! As you know, me and Paul have been chosen as the case study for Sunderland Software City (which is awesome in it’s own right) and today we posed for some publicity snaps! They sent local photographer Christopher Best to the bibliodesk (aka library) and were asked to look at laptops, hold business cards, pretend to have a conversation, sit back-to-back, bark like a dog and stare ponderously into the future (well, out of a window). Quite nicely Paul sneaked in a quick snap of Chris

Word up!

Now I’m wondering where these pics will end up?

Also, the Sunderland boys hired out Persuasion PR to write a press release to go with the photies and I was nicely suprised to see that an old school friend Emily Dobby was heading up the whole thing! Legendary
